The Secret Thoughts of CEO's Podcast

May 9, 2022

My guest today is Ron Murphy, CEO of Murphy’s Fresh Markets, a family owned grocery chain. Over time big corporate companies have acquired many of our grocery stores. Owning and operating a small independent chain is something that happens less and less, and also an industry greatly affected by current inflation. When I first came across Ron on Linkedin, I realized he had a lot to offer in terms of perspective on running a 2nd generation family business and is someone who is a truly compassionate business leader. Murphy’s has also done a wonderful job in how they have sewn their values into how they run their organization, build community, give to nonprofits and serve everyone they meet. If you are trying to find ways to instill core values into your business, think outside the box, or bring other family members into your business this is a great episode for you.
