The Secret Thoughts of CEO's Podcast

Jan 24, 2022

Many high achievers struggle with the need to feel in control. My guest today–,author, entrepreneur, and speaker Russell Benayora– has dealt with this very issue himself. He has bought and sold several companies and recently published a book that illustrates some of what he learned. Russell delves into how to have a successful professional and business life through aligned living, which is partly why he moved to Costa Rica for a year. We will discuss the challenges entrepreneurs make when building a business and whether this venture allowed freedom or prevented it. If you are looking to sell or leave a business, this episode will help you figure out what questions to think about before making a decision that will affect your future.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
• What happens when your ego runs the show
• The harm in sacrificing your principles for your success
• The power in taking responsibility for our own stories
• Most common causes of energy depletion
• Finding your genius zone
• What happens when you focus too much on your destination instead of your journey
• What it means to “write your own script”
• Why “reframing” can create a more empowering story to live from.
